M18 hatchet is a very handy lil shit. I break down a lot of cardboard with mine

I wouldnt want to go cutting firewood with the thing. But for a lil prune job, or stupid stuff that you dont want to smoke a good chain on.......

My wife has one.

Awesome for the 2 small limbs that the storm last night blew down.

I'll be getting their 16 before too long. I've got a few Husqvarnas, same as sad. He got the M18 for small stuff and loves it.

Already invested in the battery ecosystem.

Like my Milwaukee a ton for property cutting up downed trees and clearing up shooting lanes. Don’t really use it to cut standing trees. Use it a ton for work I use to use a sawzall for unless metal is involved. If you need to use it more than a 12 ah battery I grab the stihl gas one. It does leak bar oil worse than my gas one. Mine came in a kit with a leaf blower and 12 ah battery. Also bought a pole pruner with 8 ah battery that’s great. Wife loves the pruner and blower. Have a shop vac and tire inflator also and they are super handy especially on hunting and fishing road trips.

have 18" Ryobi electric/battery and it is okay - can cut 8-10-12 cuts on a 12 inch log per battery. The less you lean on it the longer it lasts. 4-6 inch limbs - can cut quite a few.

Have a SunJoe pole saw and love it - little battery lasts a long time and never had an issue.

Also be careful with aftermarket batteries.

I have a Milwaukee top handle with a 14" bar and it really has impressed me. Nice and light and battery life is good.

It is my go to saw to have in the truck or SXS when venturing from home.

ive used a couple 12" dewalt ones and theyve been great. i think you ought to just get whatever battery system you have though. For battery conservation, only make your cuts 3/4 through and break it the rest of the way.

We have a Milwaukee that we use for quick jobs on the ranch. It works great for it's size, but keep extra batteries for any length of use.
Remember, electric chainsaws won't replace a gas one for extented work.

Paid $89 for my Dewalt 12 inch a year ago. Put a different O ring on it and don’t have the big leak issues. Even if I did, it’s a great saw for what it is, and has got me further along the road in early spring.

The Milwaukee works pretty dang good, but get the large AH batteries otherwise you’ll be outa juice. We have a newer Sthil for work, battery life “ok” but not for what you pay.

used the tiny m12 pruning chain saw someone bought to camping, was very impressed and it was an awesome tool to have with us. Only a 6" bar, did the job trimming to fit in the stove after split with a maul.

I use a dewalt 12" for a trail saw on my horse. Three of the big batteries will cover miles. We cut 4 miles out with 2 1/2 batteries. If I had another battery I would have gambled on the last three miles on the loop.

The first saw started to malfunction after 3 years so we replaced it with another.

The thing that has stopped me from getting an electric chainsaw is when I’ll need it most would be during a hurricane to get trees and large limbs off my fence or house, or to clear a road. When a hurricane hits bad enough to need a chainsaw, it is likely causing the power to go out too, meaning I can’t recharge it.

Just get a charger that will work in your truck. Am I missing something?

I’ve got the EGO and I really like it, but mostly got it cause I’m already invested in the mower, blower, weed wacker and they all can take the same battery. The battery life is pretty good per use and I’ve been using the same three batteries for maybe seven years?

All my other battery tools are Dewalt.
