If you were to get two quilts would you get a 0* and a 40* or 0* and a 30*? I have a 0* and figured I would get a 40* for warmer weather. I guess I can use my 0* up to 40*

0 and a 30. I don't think anything higher than 30 is useful. If it's warm outside, just stick your limbs outside the quilt or only cover your legs, etc.

Depends on what you do. My 0-degree EE quilt is great in the mountains. A 40-degree EE quilt is awesome for river running and desert camping. I used the 40 on a river trip in Utah last week and it was perfect.

I originally had a 0 degree but picked up a 20 degree on one of their sales a couple years ago just for warmer weather. After using it in July in the mountains and freezing, I sold it and now use my 0 degree even through the summer.

I have and use only a 20 degree quilt. It's obvious how to adapt it to warmer Temps and I have slept comfortably at a verified 0 degrees by supplementing my insulation with puffy gear that I already carry on late season trips. Booties, pants, jacket, beanie, bivy.
