I'm about to pull the trigger on a quilt. I'm looking at looking at a long x-wide in the revelation. I've read almost every single thread on the topic from the last 4 years but need a little extra info.

I'm trying to decide on the 10 vs the 20 degree. It will be used for summer camping in the sierras as well as September/October hunts in WY, CO, ID. Will the 10 offer me a little more versatility for later hunts?

Also, has anyone gone with the full 20d outer? Seems like it would be some cheap insurance (even more than the stripes would be).

Thanks!

I did both of those things! And I have zero regrets. I use it in the summer like a blanket and typically have a leg out the side. Then in the winter I’ve synched it up and been warm down close to zero. The versatility is great, however I find myself in the ounce counting stage of my backpacking career. So I’ll probably be getting a 30 or even 40 deg to really shave weight in the summer.

Go for it, you won’t look back!

I don't find one to do all seasons. I use an overstuffed 10* so it's probably good close to zero. Then a 30* for spring and fall. Can also be used for summer but like a lighter throw at times of hot weather.
