Bought a pair on sale to try and quickly went back and bought another.
Really comfortable and not baggy.

I've been wearing mine four days straight on vacation. Super cool pair of pants.

Just went for a 2.5 mile hike/hunt this evening in these pants - LOVED them! Glad I got the heads up on the sale as well.

Are these similar to the popular Kuiu attack pants or whatever a lot of people praise? I'm almost thinking about using these as my hunting pants for my upcoming elk hunt. I have the tan ones.

Finch , I wore them most days I hunted this year and they were great. For me they were good down to about 35º on up to around 70º . I bought some Timberline pants for xmas for days it won't get much over 40º but the EB pants are it for warmer weather. Pretty quiet and so comfortable.

I own both the Attacks and EB Guides and the Attacks are a little heavier. The Attacks also have zippered rear pockets and really nice zippered vents on the hips. Both are great pants!

I love mine also. Bought them after suggestion from Luke. Unlike the attacks, I can get my hands in pockets easily and they fit me better:))

I'm gonna test mine next week. Archery deer in AZ. Curious if they are better or worse than my Attack pants.

I have both and like them both. My Attacks get the nod in cooler weather as they are a little heavier.

I'll say this, while I love the EB pant, I find it extremely different than the kuiu attack. The attack is much thicker, more features e.g. thigh zips and more stretchy and considerably warmer to me... Both have their place to me, just my .02

I drank the cool aid and it was great!! Thanks for the heads up on these! Attacks are great but so are these and both have a place in my arsenal.

Can anybody compare these Eddie Bauer pants to the Outdoor Research Ferrosi pant?

I just stumbled upon this thread so I went to try some on. My $.02 - Great pants, but too noisy to hunt in. I could see these making a zip-zip noise while walking. I also found they run a little small, I normally wear a 36 and I'll buy a 38 when I get some. They run tight in the legs. They also had a moss green color in the store which I don't see online.

I'll end up buying 2-3 pairs when I see them on sale, they will have their place in my arsenal at that price. I'll hunt in my Sitka pants, but these would be great for hiking/scouting/packing out quarters.

That wasn't my experience hunting in them. I found them to be pretty quiet actually. I hunted through sage brush and all kinds of grass and brush and the held up like champs and were quiet. They didn't repel water well and the burrs clung on them but noise wasn't a problem.

I don't have the Eddie Bauer pants, but I have the Ferrosi and I absolutely love them. They are really light, stretchy, and incredibly breathable. I wear them alone until temps hit the 50s, and then throw merino underneath if it's colder. They breathe good enough that I can wear them at 90 degrees and they don't seem to hold in any heat.

I feel the same way you do about the Ferrosi pants, which is why I asked how the two compared. I've used them for literally everything imaginable, but my only qualm with wearing them while hunting is that they do get pulls/snags fairly easily - definitely not a deal-breaker though. They're also only about $70, and can often be found on sale for around $50 - I don't know that the EB's are worth the extra cost, unless they're a little more durable, but still just as light and comfortable. Looking at the pics of the EB pants, they seem to have a similar cut.

Finally got a chance to try the EB Guide pants, mainly b/c I remebered this thread and they are awesome! Bough 2 pairs they fit and felt so good. Already took a pair on a training hike with an 80 lbs pack and they functioned great. My fav pant right now are the Kryptek Valhalla soild olive (fit and feel are perfect for my body type) but they are only useful in warm weather. These pants are a lot like my attacks pants (which were my no.2 pants) but little lighter, and feel just a bit better to me. The fact that I am moving away from camo colours is just a bonus. They will be getting a tone of use during traiNing, hiking and scouting to see if they make the cut for hunting this year!

Thanks again for Pointing me in the right direction rokslide!
