If your travel consists of hopping on a plane wearing pant X, doing stuff without pant X, and flying home with pant X, then these pants are gross overkill. Wear what floats your boat including your $20 Wal-Mart specials.
If you are traveling for an extended period of time and space is limited (ex: business traveler living out of a carry-on), pants like this are potentially awesome. Our beloved Wrangler Outdoors, Kutanas, Attacks, denim jeans, etc all will get funky in relatively short order. This pants' anti-microbial feature could extend the number of uses before having to wash; similar in concept to merino wool for socks, underwear, and shirt. As someone who historically has lived out of a carry-on, minimizing the number of times I have to do laundry is a blessing. It means more billable hours on-site at a client; in the amount of time to do a load I can make $500-600 and piss off the RS crew by buying this pair of pants (pretty good ROI even for the RS elite). It means a couple of hours of additional sleep which is welcome when working extended client outages. It means a couple of hours of site seeing which is a rarity. It means a potential sit down meal rather than take out or a drive thru.
Just looking at it from a non-hunting perspective as these pants are under "Everyday" and not "Hunting" on the vendor site.
