EB First Ascent

This is a twofer:
Does anyone have any experience with the new Eddie Bauer first ascent guide or guide lite gloves? Opinions on how warm they are, construction, etc...

How similar are the guide pants to the Prana Stretch Zion pants? similar material, thickness, fit?
- I have the stretch zions, just wondering how redundant the guide pants would be.

Can only answer to your second question. The guide pants are pretty similar in material, fit etc. I love my prana pants and wear them all the time and recently ordered some guide pants. I ended up sending the guide pants back due to me ordering a wrong size but they were good pants and very very similar. I think I actually like the prana pants better but hard to say as the guide pants were too small so may have colored my impression some there.

Ok, that's what I figured. I noticed they were on sale, so the price may be right for a second set of light weight pants.

I have several pairs of both.
I like the guide pants better but both are excellent.
Prana has size adjustment.

I am like rcl and feel the same. I think the guide pants are a tad slimmer cut though.

I really like the FA jackets and fleece.

and they offer it in "talls"

i have the first ascent jacket by EB and the best jacket i have ever bought. i wear it for good not out hunting but love it.

Have either of you handled their puffys at all? Noticed those were on sale as well, price seemed alright, but all the reviews I've found were of previous versions.

Damn I checked em out today and I really liked the material and the pocket layout but they are definitely a slimmer cut. I wear 36" waist but like my pants more on the relaxed/loose side so I tried on the 38's and still too snug around the thighs and seat. I really liked em but decided to pass... Back to the drawing board.
