Kutana pants stretch at all?

Valid and assessable on the low rise waist. My whale tail might show.

This was my exact assessment when I tried them on. 36 waist is plenty big for me (34 would fit my waist perfectly) and the thighs seem kinda snug. Not so bad when standing still, but feels a little restricted when I walk or crouch. And I also feel like I could've used a little more fabric in the ass because they kept feeling like I had to pull the back of them up.

Sorry OP for hijacking - but does anyone know, do the Attacks fit the same?

I’ve never worn them, but the consensus seems to be that they fit better. I just want something lighter. I have the FL308s, and those are around Attack weight. I am looking for something for early season, preferably with a vent system.

Well I'm dumb. Thought I've been wearing Kutana's this whole time but I have the Tiburon's haha. So this might not be as helpful, but I love these pants. Great for hot weather and they fit my glutes/thighs well.

These are 34 Short Tiburons. I typically wear a 32x30 pant, probably closer to a 31x29 in actual measurements. Thighs are ~24" diameter. What typically happens at the waist is the fly/button fall out below my belt and hang out a bit, so no bunching around the rest of the waist line and no conflict with my pack belt. This happens with my 32x30 FL Corrugate pants as well.

Other pants that fit my build: Levi 541 Athletic Fit Jeans, Wrangler Athletic Fit Jeans, Wrangler ATG's, and FL Corrugate Guides,

Pants that haven't fit: FL Trace (tried 32x30 and 34x32), Kuiu Attacks, FL Guide Light,

No they don’t. Attack’s aren’t as tight. The Kutana are tighter than the Tiburon and Attack. Tiburon’s are my favorite in the field but I wear Kutana a lot as an everyday pant. I never wear my Attack’s as they are too hot down here even in winter for me. I wear 32 waist in all three but I’d say the Kutana is the smallest of the three in the waist. I’m a thin guy so no big quads to deal with.

The Kutanas do run large in the waist. I added an extra fly button to a couple pairs to take up the slack and it’s been working great.

My strategy has been to buy the next size up and then have someone pull the waist in. I'm stuck either with a waist 2-3" too big or yoga pants look

I do the same on the Kutanas. Great pants for use in AK. I tried the 30s but too snug everywhere but the waist so get the 32 and then have a seamstress take them in and also let out the inseam. Some of the Kuiu pants you can get another 2.5 inches if you let out the bottom hem which is great since they don’t offer the talls in 30 or 32 waist.
