I can't wait to get my hands on these! I think this will be my new arrow for 2014. Hope it doesn't hurt the pocket book to hard!

Now they just need to make some brass deep six inserts.

Those heavy shafts when longer will mess up your FOC especially with the vast majority of the heads for deep six only being 100g right now. Im hoping more companies jump on the deep six thing and come out with heads.

And Easton needs to offer a deep six brass insert.

I have Deep Six inserts in my Axis arrows now and they fly great. Using the 125 gr Stricklsnds Archery Helix broadhead.

The best configuration I have found for the Injexion shafts is to use the VAP Penetrator II Outsert. They weigh 49 grains and they accept any normal broadhead. The gold ones fit the .330 spine injexions and A/C Injexions. They have a lip that slides over the OD of the shaft that supports the shaft wall and stengthens it. I have bent most of the outserts that have killed game, but damanged no arrows thus far. Penetration has been outstanding. Not sure if the penetrator outserts will work on the FMJ Injexions yet - hope so... I'll be trying these out for absolute certain.

I saw on another website they were releasing a .280 spine that was 11 GPI. I'm hoping that's the 300 listed above and I think that'd be perfect since we could add weight up front. I've got my eye on these and May pair them with the 125 Ulmer Edge SS for next August's Stone sheep hunt. Be a great combo for windy country!

I called Easton and they told me that the stiffest DS FMJ is .330, but they will be producing an Axis shaft in .270 spine.

According to Easton, they will not have a .300 spine.

According to Easton, they will not have a .300 spine.

Easton WILL have a .280 spine shaft but it will NOT be in the catalog. It was a game time decision apparently. I don't know if they will call it .280 or .300. I was on the phone with a good friend of mine at Easton today and we conferenced with Engineering to confirm.

The .280's are probably at least 8 - 12 weeks out right now and in fact all of the FMJ's will be a little while before they ship. They are fine-tuning the nock mold and waiting on graphics apparently.

I was told that the .280 will be about 12 gpi by engineering and the .330 will be 11 gpi by my friend (quoted from a draft catalog) even though it says 10.5 on the Vimeo page. Either way, it sounds like there's some heavy hitters coming to us very soon. A lot of heavy poundage and long draw shooters will be thrilled to hear they are going to produce a stiffer spine after all! I should have ordered my Faktor 34 with 80# limbs!!

That's good to hear as I spoke to an Easton tech as well and they told me .330 was the stiffest. Sounds like your guy is better connected.

Curious on what they are changing on the nock? I would assume that their G nock would still fit? Though for the first time ever, I did have some issues with their G nock. The throat kept opening after some shooting and then become loose on the string which never happened before. I also read that others had similar issue with the G nock. Thanks.

That was my problem with them as well. They wanted to bend rather easily it seemed. Did not like what they did at a quartered away piece of plywood.

You guys in kahoots with Easton should tell them to make a dang brass deep six insert! These heavy shafts with a limited amount of 100g points are really useless without the weight up front!

I wouldn't mind throwing some brass on the front of my injextions as well!

The deep six inserts are stainless - which is almost as heavy as brass, but they could make them longer to add 30 more grains. They weigh 20 gr.

Personally, I use the VAP penetrator inserts in my Injexions. That way I get the 50 grain insert weight and I can use any standard broadhead on them. They also protect the shaft better in my opinion. I have yet to break, bulge, or split the front of an Injexion since I switched to these. They're spendy and bendy, but so far I've been pleased with their performance on game.

Does your connection know when the folks answering the phones and taking orders are going to become aware of the 280s? We tried placing a pre-order, getting more info the other day, and the CS folks didn't have a clue. Pointed out that they, Easton, said there was a 280 on their FB page when they rolled out the arrows. Still nutt'n.

Definitely trust your source more though...;)

Looks like a great big game shaft. My regular deep six shaft with a exodus flew right thru my bull elk in sept. glad they are coming out with a stiffer flex. With my long dl my 330's just barely spine out for me.

I'm hoping to try these as well. For weight up front I'm going to try the stainless VAP penetrator. It's 92 grains and should be much stronger than the aluminum.
