Thought I'd share a quick review...

So far very impressed with the new 5.0s. I gained 21 fps between the regular axis and 5.0s.

Bow:
- V3X 33
- 28" draw
- 70 lb 80% let off mods

Easton 5.0:
- 300 spine
- Cut to 27"
- Standard hit insert
- 100 gr field point
- 3 aae max stealth vanes
- Micro light nock
406 gr total weight
292 fps

Axis:
- 300 spine match grade
- Cut to 27"
- Standard hit insert
- 100 gr field point
- 3 aae max stealth vanes
- x nock
476 gr total weight
271 fps

I had a slight left tear through paper so I had to swap top hats. Otherwise they are shooting great through paper. Waiting for it to warm up to get to the range and shoot longer distances.

I hadn't heard that and good to know. I'll update as I shoot more.

Curious too.

I've shot an Axis 300 forever and absolutely love it. I shoot 50gr of brass up front with a 28.5 inch draw at 72lbs and have never had any issues killing anything out west with a total arrow weight of just under 500gr. My speed out of my Rx7 is right below 270 and I would be really curious to give the 5.0s a go at some point and see what happens. Axis is such a good arrow. Really cool that they came out with the 5.0 to mix things up with the axis

Seems like they are just hard to source currently in 300 spine. I need a couple dozen...

I built two dozen and have been shooting them for a few weeks now. Have made some bad shots and no breaks. Had to refletch a couple times as they are very consistent in flight and I’m too dumb to pick a different spot on the target.
