Just retired from 25+ years in the military, mostly in SOF. We're settled in between Denver and C-Springs--excited to learn about the area and start hunting big game this fall! I'm interested in archery and rifle, elk and deer--whatever my work schedule will allow each season.

My SOF background was a pretty useful baseline after years of training in precision shooting, mountaineering, search and rescue, extreme environment training, etc. I have been able to get some hunting experience in Kentucky, Hawaii, and Montana, but nothing in CO yet. I'm not a blue-haired Karen from California so hopefully the locals will welcome me. Looking forward to learning from the community on here!

Welcome dude! I’m a Co guy born and raised, former 11 series at Carson, currently live on the west side of the front range up by Denver if you have any questions feel free to reach out! Cheers!

As the self-appointed chairman of the welcoming committee, it is my privilege to extend a laurel, and hearty handshake (virtual, of course) to our new CO member.

P.S. Your state is thick with them but there are pockets of hope as this map shows. I have a friend that lives in CS and he told me years ago of this long before the map supported it, but sadly your state voted for Heels Up by a large percentage. Durn shame as it's a beautiful state.
