They should be pretty content with the doe they have and shouldn’t bother him. From what I’ve seen and read, their pack mentality and hunting structure is nowhere near that of wolves, so when they do move on something bigger than them, it’s usually only in groups of 2-3.

Some of the neatest videos I have run into on YouTube unexpectedly have been of dog decoying coyotes. Some brutal ones have been greyhounds on coyotes.

I’m in process of building a new house. The other day I was inside working and a coyote ran through yard onto back porch. My dog wasn’t there.

My mut is 55# 1/4 Aussie shepherd, 1/4 pit bull, 1/2 blue heeler. He is a killing machine, but we are getting him a partner for the new house.

I wouldn’t take a chance with a solo hound in coyote country.

Never had problem with them bothering our dogs,(beagles) and if they want the cat they better get there before she get to a tree. Personally there's a badger back in the woods behind the house I'm more worried about.

This weekend my cold trailer jumped 3 laying together and they scattered to the hills. They didn't want anything to do with that dog.
