What did you all make? We did a spiral ham and deviled eggs. I did not like ham, turkey or any roasts when I was a kid because my Mom cooked it to oblivion. A ham cooked correctly is so darn good.
Satruday Easter we had Ham, Homemade Mac and Cheese, home made biscuits, and a rabbit food Salad. Pumpkin pie and ice cream
Easter Sunday wife's sid eof the family. Ribs and winds off the smoker, Egg salad, Jalapeño corn bread, rabbit food salad. Fruit pound cake for dessert.
430pm dinner
Pulled pork samiches. Potato bun, homemade cole slaw, white onions, dill pickles. Honey baked beans, deviled eggs, roasted squash and zucchini and a couple dips and best of all, jelly beans and Jesus has risen cupcakes.
9.75 lb Boston butt. Took 16 hours to hit 205. Shoulder bone slipped right out. Reqtec 590 always does me well and holds a perfect steady 250. Doesn't quite draft enough to make slap yo mamma bark.
Sorry the picture of the samich isnt gram perfect. That was actually #2. I was famished and ate the first one without thinking of snapping a pic.
Tossed the football with my 2 brothers and our sons afterwards. Was an awesome evening.
I bring dove poppers to pretty much every family gathering. Half a breast, hearty slice of jalapeno from last years garden, wrap it in bacon. Hit it with some cajun seasoning. Couple hours at 200 on the smoker. Thin out some sweet baby rays with some apple cider vinegar, quick toss. Into the over at 450 for a few minutes to caramelize the sauce.
I started off with bagels ,cream cheese and gravloks (Salmon) I made. Then for dinner had a ribeye steak and made my moms recipe for cheezy potatoes. I had carrot cake and ice cream later for dessert. It was lots of stuff I don't normally eat so it all was a big treat for me.
