I've got the 95gr terminal shock loaded up for an elk hunt next month so hopefully will have something to contribute.

@SouthPaw has taken at least a couple animals with results in these threads.

Awesome! Thanks. Keep me updated. Thinking I’m going to try the 95s and 67 in
My .243.

The 200s are doing great out of my wsm. Just haven’t connected with anything yet for first hand results.

Three elk down with the DRTs last weekend. A 6x6 bull with the 135 (6.5 creed) at about 350 yards and a 5x6 bull and cow at 200 with the 95 (6 creed). Both shots on bulls were too far back, about center elk or a little further back, but neither made it more than 50 yards before laying down. Photo of entrance and exit from the 135 below. No terminal performance photos from the bull taken with the 95 unfortunately but there was no obvious exit wound. Did get an exit photo from a neck shot on the cow.

5x6 died in a great spot:

While better shots on the bulls would have obviously been preferred, I think there is something to be said about how these bullets did even with poor shot placement.

So the 2 bulls both wrecked the liver maybe and lost blood pressure quick, or did they hit lung? Looks promising!
I'd be launching them fast in an 18" 22creed. I can only imagine that faster is going to cause a deeper, more devastating wound, right?

Damage to the liver in both cases and possibly diaphragm but required additional rounds to finish them. I’m shuffling barrels around and one will be a 22 creed.

Thanks! I'll have to give these a try. And, please update us on any results. I killed a couple elk and deer with bulldozer 2's (.224) and it was great for deer at 3500ish, but I'm looking for something a bit more devastating for elk. 100 yard runs (3300fps) with both lungs punched, not bad, but these DRTs sure sound like they would 'soup' the lungs when driven fast

Frontal, entrance base of neck. Bullet made it to back of lungs shredded them completely. No photo of lungs unfortunately but not much was left. Deer dropped and dead immediately with CNS, lungs hit and ventricles on top of heart severed. So far so good with this bullet. More to come

223 79g DRT TS factory load out of a tikka t3x 223 with 16.5” barrel and can on it. MV of 2500 fps. Impact velocity 2475fps. (12yards). My buddies first deer. First shot high shoulder second in neck as he was told to shoot until it’s dead. First shot dropped deer in tracks. First deer I have seen killed with a 223 and it’s compelling to see that little gun do its thing. no exit and the bullet fragmented all over into the opposIte side of chest cavity.
Onside shoulder/neck (shoulder removed)
