Another note, same load with Lapua SRP and CCI 400 gave me 2880 fps, with a tighter SD 7.2 (vice 8.7 with the Peterson LRP and CCI 200).

Working with Unknown Munitions on load development for 175g TS in my 300 wsm. Shot a ladder today and results:
Browning Hells Canyon 300wsm 26” barrel TBAC 7
ADG brass
215m primer
2.825” Coal
H4350
61.5g- 2907fps avg, 17.5 std dev, 25 es
62.0- 2928 avg, 11.9 std dev, 24 es
62.5-2956 avg, 21 st dev, 38 es
63.0- 2978 avg, 8.5 std dev, 17 es
63.5 - stiff bolt lift and slight ejector mark, 2998 avg, 6.9 std dev, 13 es

Will likely load between 63.2-63.4. Waiting to hear what UM says to data.
Any ten shot groups with the 300wsm UM loads? Curious how it turned out. Thanks

Not yet, forgot to photograph the 200 yard zero and this shot well out to 315. Will have some 10 round groups of this load and the factory DRT in the next 6 weeks when I can get out to the range. So far the UM load shoots much better than I can.

Hi,

I’ve been testing ammo for a new 6.5 Creedmore and have been impressed by the 135 gr DRTs. I don’t factory load so this is DRT factory loaded ammo. Gotta say I’m not real happy with that. One of the first 20
shells had no powder in it!

It’s come down to this or Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos loaded by Gorilla. crazy accurate but also crazy slow.

Does anyone know the BC of the 135 gr 6.5 bullet?

Gun is Defiance Rukus action with 20” proof barrel. Average speed is 2530 bps.

Second group shown is only 7 shells cause number 8 was the shell with no powder in it and the bullet was left in my barrel.

There's a lot of reports of real poor factory loadings from drt. The squib load is beyond unacceptable. I'd contact them about that.
They're hand loads only for me.

Thanks for the info.

From the looks of DRTs website and their seeming lack of presence in the industry I am wondering if they are heading out of business or what? 1/2 their listings on the website are for “blemished” bullets and cartridges.

Too bad as it seems they have a good product.

When I’ve called to check on availability for some of their bullets they’ve said they need to fulfill their military contracts before they can get back to making bullets for us. So I think just bullet and ammo sales isn’t driving their business.
