I am wondering if any of you know of any specific down jackets that come in a good earth tone? I am in the market and would like to try and find a good deal on some clearance down jackets. I don't see the point of paying more for one in camo when I would think some of the outdoor companies will be clearing out stuff in the next few months.

You maybe able to still catch the Cabelas Puffy coat sale. But I believe its primoloft and not down. Still its good quality and only 30 bucks. I got a nice green colored one. Im like you if I got a down coat on its with a top layer anyway so no need for camo.

i got a flat olive green jacket at REI on clearance for 70 bucks. Its only 650 down, but cant beat it for the price. I get a lot of clearance stuff at REI. Oh this one is REI brand.

I didn't see the Cabelas one. I was looking at REI and a few other sites. I would like an olive green or brown. It is hard to tell though how bright the green is. Some green jackets look flat/dull in one pic but bright in others.

MuleyFever, what size do you wear? I have a new down coat in green/olive drab from Cabelas that I plan to sell very reasonably.

The Super Down in Major Brown is at the top of my list right now. I was hoping to find a deal on a comparable jacket on a season end clearance in the next couple months. So far anything I have found that is a reasonable savings is 650 fill and/or 15-16 ounces. The jackets comparable to fill and weight of the KUIU are all $200 or more and then I will just get the KUIU for the nice color and treated down. Also would like a hood.

Steve, I am a large. If it doesn't weight a pound I may be interested.

I have had a Feathered Friends Daybreak Jacket for 2 seasons now, and within it's category it is as fine a down jacket as you can buy. I'm a KUIU buyer in many cases, but I simply can't buy a SuperDown when my FF is as light, is warmer, and feels like it should cost $300 or more. I'm nobody's fanboy, but Feathered Friends stuff....and Western Mountaineering...are almost sight-unseen good with me.

btw: My Daybreak is Moss Green and it's a great color for hunting and general wear.
