I have an older MR Pintler, Guide lite frame.
Fits me great, have the bag set up how I like it. Don't do overnights but it could come up.
I've packed a lot of meat with it. Some deer, mostly elk. I can load up the bag with meat bags, or chunks as needed. Can stuff about 80lbs inside at the most.
But packing bone-in quarters just sucks. Not the actual weight carrying. but taking the bag from the frame to load the quarters and strap back together.
Are the new MR packs/frames set up any easier for this?
I mean, really, its just 1-3-5 times per year.....but it makes me mad every time!
