I come down on the side of “Break the law, pay the price”. Irrespective of your opinion about that law. Last fall a nice bull elk popped up in front of me and my brother while hunting in an area where only predation tags are issued for elk. IBy the logic of some... I guess that makes them pests so we should have shot him, even though we did not have a predation tag. The reason we didn’t even think about shooting him for one second? We didn’t have a f**ing tag.
