Apollo is my current golden retriever who just turned one and is spoiled.

Gracie is our Vizsla’s name.
Sgt York is my favorite movie. So I named our bird dog after his wife.

We let our son name our GSP. He went with Bullet. I often call him the Big Baby.

Lost one of my Vizla's a year ago this week. She died two days before her 8th birthday. I've been thinking about her all week. Her name was Finley.

We lost Kimber a couple years ago and I still miss her.

We rescued her as an abandoned puppy. Thought she was a chocolate lab........... Turns out she was a Vizsla. Boy did we get an education.

I don't bird hunt so she was a companion dog and one of the best dogs I've ever had.



One of the few times I was able to wear her out.

I've had Bandit and Turf, a setter and English pointer. I had a lab that loved me like no other that was full blooded pet that my brother called "Stupid", so everyone did. . I had another lab named Hobbes that was a pet also. I had a pointing lab named Beau and another lab named Remi (just a pet).

My current bird dogs are Kassie, Cash, and Finn.

Cash, the old man. He'll be 13 in September. His hunting days are pretty much over. He was a pheasant finding, tracking, retrieving machine. He's now mostly a couch dog.

Winston, cedar and my dog now is Banks all labs and then diesel he is a teddy bear (mutt)puppy my wife got half Maltese and half shitzu. For not wanting a little dog I sure do like him now.

I would add that this dog was extremely high bred from Super Chief 3 time national champion and River Oaks Corky 7 time national champion with I think total of 32 champions and like 17 national champions, I got him working all summer helping the old man that bred him at the retriever club as a Sophmore in High School.

The old man ending up having a heart attack while he and my grandpa were training one day. Mid 1990's.

Hondo has been on my short list for years, just haven’t found the right dog.

Generally speaking, I prefer two syllable dog names.

We had a Rottweiler named Brutus for 13 years (kids thought that sounded like a good name for that breed). Got hit a couple of years ago and we were getting ready to move so we haven't had a chance to replace him yet. My brother has two German Shepherds named Liberty and Brave and two Cocker Spaniels named Hank and Dolly. I'd like to find another Rottweiler but I probably won't have a say again on the name.
