Insurance, tires, and maintenance are added responsibilities and costs, and your stress level is going to go through the roof if you have a dealer do the work. Expensive and usually wrong are not calming experiences. Doing your own work makes motorcycles a far better experience.

My neighbor has so many more people living in his small house than it was designed for it's crazy and his young son would trigger the car alarms every time he rode off on his bike. I live at the top of a long, steep hill and coast down to an spot to start it where it won't upset anyone. As for financial concerns, I'm at an age and place in my life where those concerns no longer exists...years of hard work building businesses.

I logged over 300K miles on touring bikes in my youth (puffed rice) but gave em up when I got married and became a dad. Haven't actually ridden in 30 years but a classic Harley has always been a bucket list thing. Now I'm an empty nester. I just gotta figure out how to explain it to the wife. Better to beg forgiveness than request permission.
