Do you take small game hunting as seriously as big game?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always thought of small game as the “just have fun” side of hunting. Grab some water, knife, and a stringer then go tromping around the woods with a .22 and just have fun.

I always plan and scout more for big game (especially in the west), and seem to take it more seriously.

Anyone else feel this way?
Small Game is alot of fun and a nice break from the intensity and hard work of Western Big Game. SG is more of a fun sideshow for me as BG feeds the household when I can get it. All good, though.

When I lived in PA I may have let it slip where I killed a good buck...but I NEVER told anyone where I killed snowshoe hares. Not even my closest friends. lol
