Do All Pant Decision........

I own the Kiui brush pant, Sitka mountain ascent, Sitka back 40, Argalia vesper just arrived and the ATG’s

ATG’s last 15-20 wears and then pile so badly they are “ranch work pants” only.

KUIU brush are only used for bird hunting and they are far from a real brush pant. I’ll take them on a hunt but only because I spent so much & on them have to get some value out of the purchase.

Sitka MA have been nice and wish I had bought a pair that is Not camo

Sitka back forty. So far they are my favorite pant even though they do nothing for brush. I travel in them all the time simply due to comfort and they wear very well. To me they are a tough business casual pant. The marketing of them being a work pant is a joke IMO.

The vesper got very well but I have not worn them more than a day at the house. Time will tell. The perfect pants are like the perfect bullet. They just don’t exist at this time. IMO.

What worked for me as a soldier still works for me today, and the price is right. As far as thorns, wear thicker ones or lightweight chaps, bidk for sure!

I wear prana Zions pretty exclusively all year round. Pretty durable, dry fast, lightweight. I wear the same pairs to the office as I do elk hunting. Have several pairs of attacks as well. Nice pant but much hotter than the Pranas.

I have had the opposite experience. Wore my old attacks with my daughter turkey hunting this week. Stuck both hands in my back pockets and they found their way through what used to be seams into fresh air. The only reason I can still wear them is most of the seams have been gone over with my sewing machine. They would be my favorite pant if they weren’t overly expensive cheap pieces of crap. I can guarantee you will get more miles out of five pairs of wranglers for the price of one pair of attack pants.
That's the issue I have with the wranglers. Seems like every pocket has torn.

The sticker shock is real. I got extremely lucky and managed to snag 6 barely used pairs for less than $250.

I keep it simple. Wrangler All-Terrain and some of their HD's as well for a tad colder weather or if I'm in brush. I'm not too far from an Outlet where I stock up for the year. As a Surveyor by trade, I find myself in all sorts of terrain throughout the entirety of the year. For the price, it isn't nothing to grab 5 pairs that will last a year or 2. I will say, to echo what others have said, the pockets in the ATG do rip relatively easy (especially the back pockets). However, no issues with the HD's yet.

I also have some Kings Camo XKG Ridge pants that I feel is lighter and breath better, but don't feel are as durable in the brush than the HD's. I wear pants 99% of the year (shorts only when I'm on the boat).

I have however been eyeballing the Born Primitive pants. Might grab a few pairs this spring/early summer.

Wrangler ATGs $25-30/pair

Basically replaced my Prana Zions since the new style/material is shit compared to 6-7 years ago.

More expensive I have heard great things on the Fjallraven Vidda Pros.

Duluth trading company has high quality pants…and jackets for that matter. They will handle everything you can throw at them, but they ain’t light!

I wear them pheasant and grouse hunting. I’ve worn them a few times deer hunting but I don’t through thick stuff hardly so the weight to warm ratio isn’t for me.

I think they are the flex fire hose pants. They used to sell an insulated version.
