Hey guys. I was planning on buying a "hunter box" ozone machine this year but they appear to be out of stock. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is a cheaper version of the Ozonics generator. At one time I had saved a link from somewhere to build one with items from Amazon. Does anyone have a link to something like this? I was hoping to try an ozone machine this year for a couple of my treestands in lower lying areas where the wind swirls but I'm having a hard time paying $500 for the Ozonics...

Your mouth, ears, and rear end emit much more odor than well deodorized hunting gear... I'd follow proper procedures (scent prevention, deodorize, hunt the wind) and save your money as stated above.

This was not meant to be a debate over the effectiveness of ozone. I have been bowhunting for about 15 years and there are certain stands where the wind swirls. If ozone gives me a slight advantage then I want to gain that advantage. Playing the wind is and always has been important and I know that...

I put all of my hunting clothes inside an enclosed ground blind and light up a bee smoker filled with hickory or apple wood chips. The smoke scent seems to last fairly well and it seems powerful enough to mask the human odor on occasion if the wind switches. I've had deer below me and floated milkweed right to them and while they can smell something isn't totally right they typically just ease off almost confused. As opposed to standing there snorting and alerting everything else in the timber.

Agree 100%

A DIY ozone generator would be awesome, agree that there are some locations you just can't beat the deer no matter how well you play the wind or scent control.

Thank you for the link - I have ordered all the parts. I'll let you guys know how it works out 👍🏻

I guided whitetails for many years in the Mid-West , they first came out I though it was a huge gimmick. I herd a lot of good stories through the years with them working . still need to hunt smart
