Does anyone else find the Stone Glacier colors frustrating? I always wished that they would have another color besides gray. Last fall, after a year and a half or so of waiting and hoping that some more colors would come out I just accepted the gray and purchased a pack. I can live with the gray. It's not so bad, although it would never be my first choice.

This year my wife wants to get a pack. I think it will be good for us to stick with SG. They recommend the Krux Evo frame for smaller women - green and tan. Great, I like those colors more. But the only bags we like for her are gray. Sweet - tricolor pack.

I'm definitely a function over fashion type of person, but I think it's pretty ridiculous that they can't give a few more color options to make a $700 top of the line backpack match. Is it really that hard to have something in two colors?

Maybe I'm wrong and the tricolor frankenpack will look good. Anybody have any pictures?

Could not resist but the game won't care what color your pack is. ;)

This might be the most diva-ish post I’ve ever read. If you like their gear buy it. If you don’t like it there are other great options

Can't tell.. serious or satire related to Kifaru guy being unhappy fondling his ranger green of slightly different hues?

My SG pack is coyote brown.......or elk tan, which is a little scary while running around the woods chasing elk. But I also use the gray Approach bag over the tan bag. So I have black, tan, and gray. I can't even see it while I'm wearing it, so I don't really care what color it is.

Say what you will. I agree 100% that it does not matter to the animal. I don't run around in a matching camo set. At one point all of my hunting gear was hand me downs from the 60s and 70s. I still wear some of that stuff to this day. Ultimately if it works, I don't care what it looks like.

That being said, what other top of the line product has no color options and doesn't even match itself? Name one other backpack manufacturer that doesn't have more than one color - I don't know of any. The problem I have is paying for a top of the line, premium priced product that looks like I scraped it together from hand me downs laying in the basement. You don't buy a new truck and "not care" when it comes with a green hood, tan fenders, gray body, and black trim - that would be ridiculous. Cooper rifles do not come with a little of this color and a little of that color; we threw it together with whatever we had laying around. I take pride in the things that I create; I want them to function exceptionally and look damn good while they do it.

Again, say what you will. But I have seen countless people ask about SG packs coming in other colors. I'm not alone. Here is a video of a Rokslide staff member doing it just this year: Stone Glacier EVO Frame - YouTube

Regardless of all of this, the pack isn't even for me. It's for my wife. Colors to matter to her and lots of other women and men for that matter. There is nothing wrong with caring about how you look to an extent. I wouldn't want to be with a women who didn't care about how she looked a little!! She won't just be using the pack for hunting. We practically live outside in the summer and unfortunately come in contact with people every now and then.

There are some people who will go buy another pack just because of the color; sadly that is probably the number one criteria for a lot of people in choosing a pack. I am not one of those people. I like SG packs more than any other pack out there and have shown with my money that I value function over fashion. Not everyone will do that though. I know SG is loosing sales because of something as simple as color.

I really would like to know, how hard is it to offer a backpack in two different colors?

Have fun making comments and thanks for the laughs! :D

Even though I am new to hunting, I cannot see the benefit of stalking after any big game while walking backwards. But I know not of such things...

So go buy an inferior product that matches your wardrobe better if you dont like the color but as you can see from the responses, you picked the wrong forum to post your little bitch session.

Not directed at the OP specifically but these pack color threads and similar ones about clothes often have me wondering. How can a guy who cares about such things be a successful backcountry hunter? Personal experience and anyone I know who's successful has a serious mental case of the F it's I'm just going to do whatever it takes.

Heck I bet there are people that like the limited color options, it's kind of a SG staple. That way everyone knows their pack is a SG just by the color..

I guess I always liked their grey, it’s a nice neutral color that doesn’t clash with my Kuiu Vais and really brings out the color of my Sitka subalpine.

I see no correlation between having a desire to hunt and this topic. There could be, but overall it's irrelevant. I'll go as hard as anyone.

This wasn't even a full day and I only packed food for half a day.

Why don't you tell Zakk Wylde that his guitar colors don't matter - color doesn't make it sound any better or make you play better!! Stop being a skirt Zakk!!

Dimebag Darrell, Kirk Hammett, Dave Mustaine...... all a bunch of primadonnas using colored guitars!
