That lit them up like a Christmas tree. The picture looks “fine”
But isn’t going to tell us or you if the fibers have a break in them before they get to the tip of the pin.
You need a dark room and a way to only shine a small light into the area of the sight you took a picture of.
Then, making sure light isn’t spilling out into any other exposed fibers closer to the pin, look and see if the pins are lit or not.
You will be able to see if you have broken fibers pretty quickly this way.
.010....same as my black gold. The size is good when the fibers have direct light. Of not it just looks like a black single vertical pinWhat size pins did you go with?
They can be pretty dang small
YepTechnically it's your fix for the 59 dollar light LOL, I jest, I def agree the .010 pins are way to dim in bright target situations, especially if the sight is in shade. I had them swap out my pins, I did a 019 top, 015 middle and the 010 on the bottom. Seems to have fixed the problem for me, although the 019 may be overkill, probably 015 top and middle would be fine.
Do you happen to have a link to the light you used? I may want to do that to my second bow. Is it just the mini01 keychain light?
No you’re not.Does anyone else find the tape a bit confusing on the Dialed Pruf? There are hatch marks down either side, and a gap in the middle with just the numbers that end in 0 (like 20, 30, 40, etc). My problem is the little arrows that you can set the position of terminate in the gap, so you can't exactly tell what hatch mark you're on. Am I doing something wrong?
Agreed. I am going to sharpen mine. Paint it red. And bend it closer to the tape. Crazy there is so much tweaking needed on a sight that costs 600 doll hairsNo you’re not.
I’ve been shooting a lot of random distances lately and find their arrow to determine way yardage you’re at isn’t precise enough or sits too far off the sight tape. HHA was better in that aspect…. Maybe I should go back….
Yea I’d say it just a design flaw. How exact do I need to be between 41 and 42 yards is beyond my ability to know. As long as I’m in a 4in circle or so I’m good.Agreed. I am going to sharpen mine. Thats a good enough point. My shot spread is probably greater than the difference between a sharp point & my eyeball's ability to put it right on 41 vs 41.5 or even 42. I just know the Axcel Driver has super sharp points, and is right up against the tape so no variance dep on the angle you're looking at it from, and the hatch lines go all the away across so you can see exactly where you are. Do all those things really matter, maybe not. But to Blake's point. It costs $600, it should blow my mimd, not just be "good enough". Sharpening the points, bending them down and maybe painting the front one red are all good ideas. I may even cut my tape down the middle, get rid of 1/2 the strip, and shift the remaining strip over a bit so the hatch marks live right under the tip of the point.Yea I’d say it just a design flaw.
