Between the Deviant Tactical and Terminus Zeus, which one would you choose for a 300 WSM build? Not looking to watch weight as I will not be having to hike up many mountains. Going to leave it heavy enough to shoot comfortably.

You are not going to go wrong with either of them! They both do run a little different though.
Deviant
Pros- Smoother bolt, easier to get to feed
Cons- 90 Degree bolt throw, less bolt to scope clearance

Zeus
Pros- Quicker bolt throw and run whatever rings you would like
Cons- Bolt close/open is not quite as smooth, 3 lugs require a little more attention when tuning magazines.

Like I said in the beginning I don't think there is any advantage to one over the other, it is just the features that will benefit you the most!

I have both and prefer the Zeus for the same reasons the previous poster gave about bolt throw. Also, I have the QC so barrel change-outs are a breeze. I've sold most of my 90 degree bolt throw guns just because of the scope clearance issues, not a huge deal but I hunt a lot in the cold and with gloves on it can be annoying.

I'm just getting ready to build another gun, and I've been strongly considering the Zeus QC as well. Where you've had both, do you ever miss the smoother feel of the deviant action, or does the 60 degree bolt make you forget about that?
