Desert Aoudad Hunts

Yeap, Ranch we hunt runs pretty close to those prices. Amazing how much they have gone up. I guess it's just the price of doing business. Crazy thing is last December at the junction of 20 and 10 there were 7 standing right at the guardrail, when your going 80 mph it's scary. Never thought of using my Ram to hunt a ram on the interstate. ;)

Yup, years ago when I decided I wanted to shoot a bigger one rather than continuing to chase them in NM, they were 3500.00 I shouldn’t have waited. I’ve hunted them in Texas 3 times and looking forward to going again. I wish I could hunt those all the time, it would be amazing to own one of those massive ranches with thousands of aoudad and mule deer all over the mountains.

I’d recommend Sproul ranch any day, they are good folks with a nice operation, good rooms, good food reliable vehicles, lots of properties to hunt and a nice shooting range on sight to check your guns.

When I was there a year ago, I let them know it wasn’t my first aoudad so I was looking for something more specific, I let them know I wanted an old one with mass and character, not just a cookie cutter ram and we got it.
