Need help deciding between the two. Something versatile would be nice but something good for extreme cold would be better. I camp at home(NC Appalachian), and will be moving to CO next year, and also frequent WV during the winter(where I'd sometimes sleep in my car/van when I go snowboarding) The Nemo is available in a short size and I'm 5'5 so would this fit me better than a regular Sierra Designs Nitro 0 bag? I have a pad and everything, just need help deciding what's the better buy between the two.

Thanks in advance!

I have the Nemo Sonic 15 and zero complaint. Super warm bag. I have the tall version. I like the wide toe box alot and the zipper gills are nice to regulate temp. I slept down to 30 in my boxers so I would say the temp rating is spot on.

There's a big difference in the footbox measurements of those two. The sierra designs has more fill, but is lighter overall, the Sonic has a waterproof toe box, vents, and stretchyness.

I'd buy the sierra, but I have nearly bought a sonic a few times in the past.

The regular Nemo bag is pretty short as it is, I would be surprised if the regular size wouldn’t fit better. I won the regular size in a raffle and was not surprised that it was far too short since I’m 6’4”, but my buddy tried it out is 6’ and Thought that it was too short too and got a long that fits him perfectly. I thought the Nemo bag was very nice and my buddy likes his sonic but the sizing definitely leans shorter than other companies. I ended up getting a western mountaineering badger long 6’6” that I am initially impressed with since the nemo bags are too short for me.
