December AZ mule deer clothing?

It can get really nasty in that country, the wind especially. Bring warm clothes and gear that will keep you dry during a driving snow. Good news is the next day it can be 65 and sunny.

I have gaiters I forgot to mention that. Are rain Pat's really necessary? I know the Zions dry quick and theunit only averages an inch of precipitation in december

If it was October I would say no problem. It can get pretty darn cold in December, and being wet AND cold can end hunting for the day. I would say check the forecast right before you leave and pack accordingly...and hope the weather cooperates!

I hunt it every year in January.....I wear Tiburons with no issues. If I need more warmth, I wear long underwear (thin).

Dude, awesome find on those milsurp puffy pants. I'll be grabbing those for my November hunt here in NM. Figured I'd just take LJs and suffer if it got real cold.
