This is why I did the PRC. I don’t think I will ever stock the 30, but if 5 are in for the 6 UM 30 I will do it.

Doubt I’ll get five, but I’m shooting my shot.

This is something I’ve been wanting to have him spin up for me. It uses a SAAMI .22 Creedmoor reamer run 0.315” deeper than SAAMI headspace. This results in a .22x57 Mauser improved that is formed from .257 Roberts or 7x57 Mauser brass (for which Norma is readily available). It can be reloaded with standard .22 Creedmoor dies. This results in about the 6PRC of the .22 caliber world when looking at powder capacity vs bore area.

Would like the NSI reamer that you have spec in the 6 prc thread.

Right now, I will order this with only 2 more so I stock a couple. It’s next on my list. I do have the 19” right now.

Count me in for 1 of these -- if there is somehow a twisted fluted 19 or 20 inch with the 7.5 rifle twist that would become my preference, but this is a smoking deal and ill happily live with a inch or two less!

Put me down for a 6 PRC with the NSI reamer as well please. I’m with @ra3043 that I would prefer a little more barrel length at 19 or 20 though. I can take or leave the fluting.

I stuck with 19” as a happy medium, but looks like I can just do 18” and 20”.

Pretty close, but different shoulder/neck geometry. The problem with the 6mm Rem is it has a very long neck, with the shoulder pretty far back. You basically don’t get much more powder capacity than a .243 as a result. The 257 Bob didn’t have that issue, so when you improve it, you get a lot more capacity than the ‘08 length cases (a 22-257 AI is a better approach than the 224 TTH, IMO).

The Creedmoor body taper, neck length, and shoulder geometry results in a lot more powder capacity in the same case.
