Dealing with insects while shooting.

This is something I have been waiting to try. I'm all the time shooting in a situation where the gnats and mosquitoes can be terrible. I have tried all kinds of things over the years, spray, dryer sheets, thermalcells, bathing, and permethrine.

I saw this about 6 months ago, ordered one, but it's only been the past few weeks that it has warmed up and the bugs have been out and I could really put it through the paces. It really has been a game changer for me, no longer am I distracted by the buzzing, just focus on the X, and execute my shot.

Enter, the dingle hat.


These are limited, mainly being only imported from downunder, but those guys really did figure some things out, there in the outback and all. I was shooting with an Aussie late last summer and he turned me onto them.






I think this is really gonna make the difference for me thuis year, maybe it can help some of y'all out too.

Maybe it's they get distracted to the legs, stay away from my head.

It's fine, actually it's pretty useful for reading wind. Tells me which way to lean the bubble.
