Just thought I would put this out to others.
Over the last week I have been shooting a bit as w have a local shop that has started to do 3D shoots on Monday eavnings.
Just more of a fun thing than a league or anything like that.
Shot the first one last week and really did not shoot well but didn't think to much into it as I haven't shot for a while.

So got out yesterday on Sunday at the house on my home range where I can shoot out to 40.
Noticed I was a bit all over in highs and lows. Which for me is a bit off.
Was taking a break and had a couple arrows that needed re-fletched. So went into the shop to fletch it and put it on the scale and weighted the first one, it was 460, weighed the next it was 510.
Ok kind of odd.

Grabbed another to check and it was 520.
Kinda scratching my head i knew something was up.
Checked all my arrows and the ones I had been shooting just for targets weighed anywhere from 510-555.
So I pulled inserts to make sure the weights I had were right and they were.
Didnt understand what was going on. Then noticed one had a different color Nock. Normally I use one color nock for my target arrows and one for my BH arrows just to keep them separate.
Pulled the nock off and water came out..and quite a bit.

What I finally figured out was that I keep most of my normal target arrows out side all the time and are in a tube holder where I stand to shoot. Apparently with all the rain we have gotten over the last how ever long some water had managed to seep into or condensate inside the arrow shaft throwing my weights way off.
Took all of the nock off and had water in about 4-5 different arrows making them all different weights.
Was something I had never ran into before.
Guess from now on ill take them inside the shop when Im done shooting.

Just thought I would put this out there if someone runs into something like this same thing.

I've used weed eater line to increase arrow weight but never water.
I wonder if the fluid dynamics at impact would have an effect on flight and penetration. That sounds like something the Lusk broadhead guy could work out.

I keep all of my arrows stored indoors, but that would be a real head scratcher until you figured it out :)

Dynamic foc… quick, have MFJJ do a review! And we’ll need some tests to determine the best type of water to run in arrows. Electrolyte balance to ensure optimal performance?

At 40 yards, even 45 grs isn't going to make huge differences. For me, 30 grs is about 3/4" at 40. So 45 would be about 1 1/8".

Now water, inside a shaft, possibly sitting in different positions at the shot? I can't imagine what all that could do. I'm surprised it didn't take the nock out at the shot.

Probably seeped in past the point into the insert.

Fiji water. It’s scientifically proven to be the wettest water on earth.

Edit: that is pretty wild. Glad you figured it out before you tossed the arrows out with the bath water….
