When the Dove/Quail pursuit just wasn't hap'nin on this area for the 2nd part of the season. Switched over to coyotes, since it's about 100mi drive from my house.

So switched the #6 Steel, out to HEVI-BISMUTH WaterFowl #2 shot.

Not quite a full eyes-bulging-out (I sooo want to get one of those!)

But came close on 11/25/2023.


Unfortunately I leaned up against the TailGate at just the wrong time whilst skinning him out the field.

Shot this guy in MN with my .270, the other is the only one of a pack of 7 that came in on me in the pitch black. Good thing I had night vision, let him get to 20 yards before I pulled the trigger.

Most recent, nov 2nd. Really doesnt count, wasnt even hunting. Stayed home that day due to weather. Rain all day. Shot her from my living room window. No accomplishment, but ill take it. Helps break up a steady diet of bear meat. .223 shooting 64tgk @60 yrds

Normally don’t kill that many in a short period of time but had some spots open up and some new ones. 11 in 2.5 weeks but my partner and I are only at 51 for the year. Summer is tough because most of my spots are corn fields and some are still standing. Hopefully get 4-5 more before the end of the year. Hit my personal goal of 30 though. Thanks!
