Been lurking for a while and couldn't find a direct comparison and reviews of products. Just looking for information to help click "pay now".

Have you looked at the nomad OTB?

For a 20" barrel, I think my search would end there.

Also, you can shave nearly an ounce from the nomad xc with a diligent defense dt hub for 50 bucks. So that puts the nomad ~1ounce lighter, quieter, and cheaper than the tbac.
 
I can’t quite speak to your question. I have a nomad ti xc and an ultra 5. Both are very good for what they are. I like the ultra 5 for its size and weight. The nomad is quieter. If I had to choose one it would be the ultra 5. The nomad is much quieter but longer and heavier.

Between the ultra 7 and nomad you can’t go wrong. Just flip a coin. Both are good.

One advantage of the nomad is that you can put a Recoil X break on it. That will make spotting your shots easier.
