What is everyone's opinions on the best daypack that can be carried on an airplane? TSA carry on limits are 22 x 14 x 9. We are hunting in Canada this fall, want to carry on some essentials in case luggage gets delayed, but don't want to have issues with too big of a carry on. Then will carry this bag every day in the field during the trip.

Ideally I would bring my Mystery Ranch pack, but it is well outside the limits. Would like a pack that has an internal frame and could carry a hind quarter if needed.

Is the Kuiu Venture Divide 3000 too big for a carry on? Just read the KUIU Venture Divide 2000 doesn't fit 6 foot or taller people very well?

Ideally this would replace the Mystery Ranch for day trips in the future, but in my mind a day pack needs to be able to haul some weight when needed.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I used a Kuiu Divide 1800 this year on vacation and had no issues. Its a bit long under the seat but worked good. If you go much bigger it wont fit under a seat. Can always put it overhead if its bigger, I see lots of people using larger packs and doing that.

I used my divide before and it was great. I recently acquired a Stone Glacier 3000 travel bag. It’s now going to be my go to for carry on. Remember, most places let you have a carry on and a “personal” bag. I used my divide 1800 as a personal bag along with my carry on and didn’t need a checked bag!

I take my EXO 4800 as my carry on for both hunting and leisure trips. I make sure it isn’t over packed, take the lid off, and tuck the hip belt behind my back when I walk up to the person scanning tickets. I’ve never had a problem and it exceeds the limits of a carry on.
