I just recently bought a CVA Scout in 243, 20” blue, standard, non takedown, to carry on the 4 wheeler and truck when checking pasture fences. After I cleaned and degreased everything I can’t find out what to torque the two screws that holds the fore end in place.
Would anybody know the correct torque for those screws? I emailed CVA last week and they haven’t responded.

Thanks

I honestly dont think that matters much. As long as the barrel and action are tight together and dont move the handguard just needs to be snug. The take down model handguards wiggle a little bit.

Thanks. After cleaning I torqued them at 20 in/lb. but I’ll back off and just snug them down.
I was wondering because accuracy hasn’t been that good while developing a load. It’s still new with approx. 40 rounds through it so far.
