CVA Optima Best Rear Sight

Looking for help narrowing down the proper rear sight for a CVA Optima. I’m looking to save some cash and grab an Optima over an Accura, but NM requires open sights and none of the Optima’s come with a peep rear sight nor do the standard irons come mounted fully to the rear of the barrel.

Does anyone have a sight combo that not only properly fits but also will function without issue? It seems lots of threads have guys struggling to zero their sights after changing them from the factory configuration.

I have a wolf (virtually the same gun) and use an EABCO peep rib in the rear and a Williams front globe.

I’m happy with my Williams western peep combo on my optima. I didn’t have any of the issues I read about here. I have easily gotten a zero with ELDx and No excuse 460 grain.

My eyes also find the size of the rear peep to be good for hunting lighting.

I only wish the “BDC” insert had fiber optics. It does get washed out in dark shadows and on dark targets.

This, both EABCO and now williams may a rear rib/pic rail with a peep. This puts the peep all the way back on the barrel (longer sight radius), it lets it adjust higher than some other options, and also if you want to put a scope on (where legal) you can using pic rings and you don't have to remove your open sights.
