I am attempting to put a ARC Coup De Grace in an MDT CRBN stock. However there is a small conflict with the Bolt release button hitting the stock. Slightly concerned that if i start grinding into the stock that I could end up with the carbon delaminating or fraying as I have never had to cut into CF. Any practical advice here???

I have always just used the little drum sander on my Dremel. You will probably get into the inner filler material FYI, which may need a little sharpie to cover it up:)

A quality stock's carbon fiber shell should be good to go over its entire area

If the layers aren't fraying at the current edges that exist on your stock, you shouldn't have to worry about it doing so just an inch away.

Use sharp tools or abrasives so you are cutting the material out, not tearing, and it will be fine (for example, if drilling a hole, an endmill works far better than a standard fluted drill bit)

I've used clear epoxy to "seal" similar work on CF stocks and haven't had any issues with it. A tiny bit goes a long way, don't need to schlob it all over the place.
