Cut on Contact Head Rec's

I've been a Slick Trick/Viper Trick fan but used Magnus Stinger and Buzzcut this past season with good luck on elk and deer. The problem is it's not as simple to swap out blades on the Magnus but I returned three damaged Magnus broadheads which had killed two bucks and one cow elk. They replaced them all no questions asked. They did the job but were kind of one and done. I've not had that damage experience with the Killer Bee.

VPA are nice heads. Tough, fly well, easy to sharpen and very resonable. I've had good luck on both elk and deer with them.

I've liked VPAs. I have gone to the stainless version as the regular ones have gotten a hint of rust on them over time.

I'm a fan of the cutthroat 3 blades.

Fly well, sharpen easily, and are durable. Small sample size but so far they've done well on game too.

I also would not consider the Viper Trick a true cut on contact. It is very pointy, but not truly sharp. But, I also don’t think it matters much for compound shooters. Some of the guys that shoot piles of elk here use ST Viper Trick.

The Grim Reaper micro hades is a replaceable blade, mid price head, that actually does have a sharpened point. Lots of people recommend those as well.

Watch the Lusk reviews of both. Both great heads that will kill elk.
