This is simply one of the coolest rifles I’ve ever built. Rifle started as a Montana in .223. I ordered a Krieger 9 twist SS barrel and had my smith contour the barrel to my specs and finish at 20”. He also lengthened the mag box and modified the ejector for longer cartridges. The rifle is nearly flawless in every way. It feeds and ejects absolutely perfect.
The rifle is an absolute tack driver easily 1/4 MOA with three loads, all using the 87 V-max. I have lots of experience with this cartridge and the 87 V-max is simply the best for accuracy and terminal performance.
Rifle weighs 6lbs exactly bare and 7lbs 4oz exactly as pictured with Leupold FX3 6x42.
$2000 plus shipping. Scope is not included in price but I could be talked out of it. I have several sets of 1” and 30mm Talley rings that are already coated to match rifle that I could include.
I have several hundred rounds of loaded ammo that I could sell if the sale was FTF.
