I got an email about their service and it looks pretty good, and not too expensive. I'm thinking about contacting them to set up a Rokslide test if there is some interest?

This place looks awesome!! I've been playing around with the foam designer. I have 2x Pelican 1750s and a big Storm that may get some custom cut foam. I can't try the photo trace from here but I will try it from home for sure!

How nice would it be to pull out one sheet of foam and drop in another and travel with completely different rifles, optics, etc.

If you need someone to test an order I'm taking two rifles to CO in OCT....

Some of my astronomy friends had cases built for their telescopes from case builder. Nice stuff, well built, reasonably priced.

I have a few pelican and skb cases. The skb sees more use.

I have cut pelican foam in the past. An electric carving knife is the bees knees for this task. I would say that after making some tight fit foams for a few guns I gave up on the idea and made the openings a bit more general for easier insertion. I think high end optics and instruments need that kind of immobility. A typical rifle and scope can handle a bit of sliding around.

If you are traveling with that thing on airlines having the cut outs helps. It also helps with rifles that have turrets, large scopes, bipods, etc.

I do fly with mine. Sometimes I carry a shotgun, sometimes a rifle. I like the more secured fit and versatility with uncut foam.
