I’d get the standard t3x lite with 16” threaded barrel. Don't see $400 in additional value for the RT ranch for basically the same rifle. I got mine for $769 and I love it.
Mine shoots BH 77tmk, and 73eldm very well, DD enticer s for the suppressor…The enticer is what I use on my tikka 223 and 6arc gas gun.
If you were gonna buy a tikka 223 for all around useage, which model would you buy and what length? If any alterations from the stock model what would those be also? What ammo would you use and if suppressed which suppressor?
I looked at the thread about the 16 inch threaded but was unsure if it was happening. I might just wait for that.I’d get a stainless 16” Tikka T3X 1:8 twist threaded 5/8x24 (probably available from EuroOptic in the next few months), or cut an existing one down to that length.
Was your rough tech 1/2 x 28 threaded?I have the 16” Roughtech Ranch.
Suppressed with SIG SRD556 and, now, the OG65 from Unknown Suppressors.
Topped it with Nightforce 2.5-20 NX8.
I did the carbo trigger spring, and might add an aftermarket trigger that alows opening the bolt with safety engaged.
Still in factory stock.
It shoots great with a wide range of ammo. You can buy a few loads that serve your purpose and choose the one that groups the best. Getting 5 shot, 100yd groups at moa pretty easy.
NAS3 loads are available if you need to regain the extra fps lost from the 16” tube.
I only wish it was available in stainless steel.
Blued is out, SS isn’t yet from the sounds of it. Mine is blued from factory at 5/8 x 24. I believe the RT is 5/8 too.0

Same for the 223, just add neoprene and vet tape to a tikka vert grip to give me a more vertical grip w/nice palm swell…same for the cheek weld to raise that up and add some comfort. Then free float the barrel with the dremel.Just a basic stainless one with a threaded 16-18” barrel.
I don’t bother with aftermarket stocks, I’ve tried a half dozen different ones and none of them made me shoot better or made the gun significantly lighter or handier so I just put the vertical grip on the plastic stocks and use them hard.
Yup, I just don’t buy the hype of these fancy stocks, like o said I tried several, none of them made an appreciable difference, for the cost of a stock that won’t make me shoot better I can buy a lot of ammo, fuel or even a short plane ride for a hunt.Same for the 223, just add neoprene and vet tape to a tikka vert grip to give me a more vertical grip w/nice palm swell…same for the cheek weld to raise that up and add some comfort. Same but had it nitrited.I shoot that same rifle- think I paid $579 at eurooptic a year or so ago. Pretty tough to beat at that price.

Don’t really have one. I have a swfa 3x9 coming I also have a tikka factory stock that bought on here that has a cheek riser. Kinda just figuring on my next project. What’s your budget? Or are you just hypothesizing?
