If you wear a sz 8, be prepared to find out that a std width Crispi sz 8 will fit best and sz 8 wide will likely be too wide. Because of the toe box space, Crispi std width works great for a wider foot.

Because it's objective/standardized, the 'stand on paper' to determine foot length and width will save anyone a ton in bad footwear buys. If you're (typically) a sz 8 wide and I am a duck-footed sz 9 wide, try the paper measurement. If your bare foot width is 4.5" or less, Crispi std width will fit better than having a sloppy wide version.
