I have been looking at a Tikka for a lightweight build. Reading through this thread, it seems like mods are very limited on the Sauer and not really an option for a lightweight build. The price and reviews are intriguing so just curios if anyone has done a custom build with the Sauer and what is the weight.

What do you mean by “lightweight”?

My wooden stocked Sauers are really quite lightweight, by my standards. The 6.5 was 9# with ZG 6.5, Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40, and leather sling. The only modification I made to it was to have it threaded. I left the barrel at 22”.
