Barrel will stay plenty cool if you misplaced your only magazine. One of the things I always preferred about a blind mag or hinged floorplate.

Anybody know what the torque specs are for mounting to the receiver on a 100? There's nothing in the manual and can't find it on the internet. Even the scope rings sauer offers doesn't have any information. I'm assuming they want you to buy their product and that information is only on the packaging.

I have no idea. I went ahead and had my gunsmith drill and tap to 8-40 for a more robust mount. 30 in/lbs no problem with the 8-40. Be scared to go over 25 with the 6-48
