CPW told to cease and desist wolf efforts outside of 10j areas

Looks like CPW willfully violated the 10j agreement with USFWS and now they are getting called on it. I don’t blame CPW though, we know Gov Polis and Wildlife Czar Reis have placed immense pressure on CPW regarding wolves…… and a host of other wildlife issues. Gov office has hand-picked and packed the commission with anti-hunting activists. Commission sets policy and provides guidance/direction to CPW.

This all went wrong when it was placed on the ballot for citizens to vote for or against. The science of carrying capacity and wildlife (and livestock!) impacts should have been paramount to the fairytale wishes of someone living in Denver : "yes we should have wolves again bc they once roamed these hills." Once it was passed it is a giant rolling stone of bull$#@! going downhill. It's getting worse before it gets better. I guess they have a mandate to dump another 15 before the end of 2025 ?

I don't believe there is a MANDATE they release 15more.

They had a mandate to create a plan and start reintroduction by Dec 31, 2023.

They also had a mandate to "periodically obtain public input to update such plan" and "assist owners of livestock in preventing and resolving conflicts between gray wolves and livestock".

How much input have they taken in and updated their plans? How much have they assisted landowners in preventing conflict (vs telling them what they had to do for themselves)? Those items are legal mandates, specifically releasing more wolves this winter I don't believe is a legal mandate.
