Coyote gun

Concerning the 6.5 CM for coyotes... Just happened to drop one on the edge of my lawn this morning, normally would have used a .223 but the CM was still out from recently getting back from a sheep trip. The exit hole from the 147 gr ELD-X will require a bit of sewing...

I really enjoy my ruger american ranch in .223 my wife has one as well in a magpul hunter stock and loves it very accurate mine is stock waiting for a left handed chasis to come in stock somewhere for mine I know you can find the ruger in 6.5 if you must but for coyotes a 55 gr. .223 does great out of that rifle and for a great price also uses stanag mags as well which is great if you also own an ar.

Agreed, a 6.5 CM will definitely work if you want or need a multi use rifle. But something in 22 caliber may be more suitable. I really like the .223, low recoil, low muzzle blast, a .223 is just fun to shoot and practice with.

Do you usually hunt coyotes by yourself or with a buddy/group?

When by myself I prefer to have a semi-auto (AR platform for me) for quick follow ups. .223 or 6.5cm , no ryhme or reason, just whatever I feel like bringing.
