Is that plus the cost of the slab? Or all in? No demo on new house which probably helped.
Another way to save money is see if a local fabricator has slabs that have been previously cut and see if you can piece together your kitchen with the already cut slabs. If you have a bigger kitchen this will be harder but could be an option. Some clients did the perimeter in one color then island in another.

Im doing a full basement finish on my house, went with quartz counters in the bathroom, wet bar and across the top of my built in cabinets under the TV

wet bar and bathroom sink are about 48"x24" and the under TV slab is 13ftx24"

$5700 CAD installed.

That’s everything. Includes the Install, Quartz, 5 undermount sink cuts and a bit of Quartz Backsplash. We did a more expensive Quartz in the kitchen and a less expensive option in the bathrooms. Both look great

I have a distant cousin that sells quartz countertops and he got us some Weiman glass cook top cleaner and it cleans our quartz amazingly well. It must have the right amount of grit or something, but he confirmed that you shouldn't seal quartz and that it doesn't stain like granite can.
Thanks again for the cleaner recommendation. I used it today on some stubborn stains on the quartz around my kitchen sink. A few drops of that Weiman stuff and a little scrubbing with a paper towel removed those stains like magic.

Nice! I actually just used some this morning as well to get sharpie off ours. Man, kids are hard on stuff...

My wife chose the look. She wanted something to "resemble cow print but not really". This was my interpretation. This stuff won't scratch, heat resistant and cleans so easy. I've seen some cheapo tops that looked like crap and scratched up easy. 90% is the type epoxy and top coat. Solid 2 1/2" thick and no seems.1000001297.jpg

I guess it depends on who you are trying to impress. Formica works for millions of people, but doesn't impress the company.

Believe it or not, but some people don’t give a crap about impressing someone else, and are actually doing it because they like it themselves. My wife and I love our granite that we replaced the shitty formica with.

quarts, granite, marble. they all have grade level. some colors you can only get at higher levels. I can get stuff for 65sf all the way up past 300sf. they charge the same amount to cut it and put it in.
