I'm looking for recommendations on a cot tent. It doesn't look like Cabelas is selling theirs anymore. I want something that is quick to set up and somewhat comfortable. It'd be nice if it didn't take up massive amounts of room. Mostly I don't want to set up a tent when I'm on the move. I just want to whip up the cot tent and throw a pad in it. I think I'd like to stay away from a double cot just do to size when stored in the vehicle or at home. It'd be nice to be able to maneuver a little inside but I'd be storing most of my stuff in the vehicle and not in the cot at night anyhow. A rain fly or some weather protection would also be essential.

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but you can do a search for Improved Bed Net System or IBNS. You can find surplus everywhere and cheap. There is a rain fly that makes it in to a pretty slick little 1 person tent. The Berry compliant ones can be a little pricey if new. Midway and some other retailers sell “like new” surplus as well.

There is one on amazon I was looking at. It’s just the tent part. Can be used on the ground or on a cot. I think brand was red camp or red tent or something like that. Like $100. I really want to get one probably will before next fall.

I use a Kamp-rite when im sleeping in camp near the truck. Too heavy to take anywhere but flips up quick. I did have to add a foam pad but that’s just me being picky.

Yeah, that's what I need it for. I just ordered one yesterday.

This looks really slick. Not quite what I'm looking for but would still be pretty handy. It needs a rainfly. I didn't see one on Amazon.

I was looking at cots the other day and came across this cot tent. Not sure if you've seen this one but I believe I also saw a link to a YouTube video regarding it's use. Disclaimer: I don't have any knowledge about it in terms of quality, durability or value...just passing this along for your review. Hope this helps...
