Zero angle better or worse?

Anyone switch over to the zero angle method for zeroing? The concept makes sense to me but seems like it would be easy to get some of the inputs wrong (shooting angle, wind ect..) which defeats the purpose of it.

Any feedback positive or negative from those who have tried
 
If you zero your rifle at 200yds at sea level and then go shoot at 8k ft and don't account for your zero conditions, it's going to be off. I've always zeroed at 100yds to mitigate this. The shooter app also allows you to enter zero conditions to mitigate this.
