Got a chance to see some of First Lite's Corrugate Guide pants today in person. They seem like a perfect early to mid season hunting pants.

In terms of versatility... how do they hold up in the summer and winter? Are they too warm for summer backpacking in the Rockies? With a baselayer, will they be warm enough for 4th season elk?

Thanks!

I have used mine for a year now. Good fit. Comfy. Stretch is good. Sheds water. Wind proof is OK. Seem to snag thorns a bit more than I would like.

I find I don't like them in summer heat. I prefer a light hiking pant like prana or north face. I have worn them into the 30s with a base layer. Fine if you are on the move but not something you would want to sit a stand in. I have an expedition weight base layer and puffy pants. I could see layering them underneath to extend the temp range.

I've been rocking a pair of corrugates since this summer and they've done great in everything from 80s to 20s (if I'm on the move)... if I'm sitting still in the colder weather having some long underwear is a good idea. I think they work pretty well in summer honestly, although if I"m strictly backpacking I'll wear pants that are better tailored to hiking... generally some type of 'swishy' nylon pant like Rail Riders. They'll dry quicker and are lighter weight. Still, I wouldnt hesitate to use them for backpacking if I had some in a solid color
